It really was The Greatest Show, man!
On Saturday 1st September, Wincanton was host to what must have been its first ever public outdoor cinema event, and what an event it was! Ask anyone who was there and they'll surely agree, it was quite something to behold.

Join us on every other Thursday evening, all ages and abilities are welcome. Meet new people, play games, get fit, and listen to good music. Parents can join in or relax with free tea or coffee and enjoy the excellent Wi-Fi!
Elroi Manor September Shindig is on Saturday 8th
We will have a bouncy castle, barbeque, ice cream van, stalls, side shows and games. There will be music and theatre provided by local talents, and a spiritual area where you will find Danielle from Glastonbury doing readings, a crystal reader and massage.
It's Wincanton Flower Show tomorrow!
Local, and some not-so-local gardeners and crafts people will exhibit their works, competing for prizes and trophies. It’s a show for all the family, with lots to see and do, but it's not just for gardeners. Categories include homecraft and handicraft, too.
The Bayford Book - launching 8th September
Last October, more than 100 people came to the Bayford History and Memories Exhibition. Many of them asked if some of the photos and articles could be turned into a book. The answer is yes, and it arrives on Saturday 8th September!

The Greatest Showman: FREE open-air movie at Cale Park! UPDATED
On Saturday 1st September, Wincanton Town Council presents The Greatest Showman, open-air at Cale Park, free for all! A fully licenced community event, planned to include a Prosecco and Pimm's bar, pizza, crepes and an American "drive-thru" food!
Wincanton mum’s delight as part-exchange scheme opens door to dream house swap
A Wincanton family of five has used a part-exchange scheme from Bovis Homes to move to one of the new-builds off West Hill, so that their children can finally all have their own bedrooms.

This critically acclaimed World War II novel adaptation will be screening at Milborne Port Village Hall on 21st September, with financial assistance from Milborne Port Parish Council. Tickets will be on sale from 1st September.
Wincanton Youth Theatre performed at Hauser and Wirth Summer Party
The Wincanton Youth Theatre were delighted to be asked to perform again at the annual Hauser and Wirth Summer Party in Bruton in July. The festival had a circus theme, and raised money for the Carymoor Environment Centre.

Miraculum: the award-winning Hungarian children's choir is returning to Bruton
They sang in the Madonna 'Evita' film in 1998 and have won numerous first prizes and gold medals in International competitions. Now they're returning for a concert in Bruton on 30th June.
