Kimbers' Farm Shop Turkey Days, 22nd & 23rd December 2012
Kimbers' Farm Shop Christmas preparation started in July! Come and see what it's all about at our 'Turkey Days'. Mulled cider awaits you!
Now that the autumn colours have left us and the pumpkins have disintegrated, it is time to turn our attention to the best foodie festival of them all, Christmas.
It's the one time of year where most people push the boat out where food is concerned, and for the most delicious, fresh, and locally produced fare, you can't beat a trip to your local farm shop. Here
shopping is a pleasurable experience, no queuing for hours, personal assistance and advice on cuts of meat and cooking tips, so that the most special meal of the year is spectacular.
Here at Kimbers' Farm shop only a couple miles from Wincanton we started preparing for your Christmas feast back in July, when the day old Kelly bronze and traditional white turkey poults and geese arrived.
They are slowly grown through the rest of the summer and autumn in grassy paddocks, going to bed at night in straw strewn barns well away from Mr Fox. We prepare them for the table here at the farm so food miles are kept to a minimum. Our award winning meats including Angus Beef, Gloucester Old Spot pork, gammon and welfare-friendly veal, lamb and mutton are all produced here in Charlton Musgrove. We also have a full range of seasonal game available.
So if you haven't visited us before, come and join us for mulled cider on our famous 'Turkey Days' on 22nd & 23rd of December and get your Christmas off to sparkling start, when orders are collected or last minute shopping is done in our well-stocked shop.
