Car Boot Sale for King Arthur's Students' Kenya Expedition
As some of you may be aware there is a small group of final year King Arthur's students travelling to Kenya after their exams for a month. We have been desperately trying to raise money, each student having to raise £4000 in total.
On Sunday 28th April the team is running a car boot sale here at KA.
We will be travelling to Kenya with Camps International for a month of personal development and charitable work.
Each of us needs to raise almost £4000 for this expedition. The money raised will go towards travel and allowing us to assist in a variety of projects. These include community development work, wildlife conservation, environmental conservation and the adventure aspect (climbing Mount Kenya!).
- The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:
- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Kenya.
- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Kenya.
- Assist with going on wildlife conservation programmes to preserve the biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.
We are all really excited about the expedition, especially as we just got the dates that we are travelling. We leave in 7 months' time.
Thank you to those who have already supported the cake sales, car washing, bag packing and year 7 disco.
