Wincanton women who want to start their own business are being offered the opportunity of attending a free women’s enterprise programme led by sustainable entrepreneur and legendary PR guru Lynne Franks.

The brand new Chat Cafe started at the Balsam Centre last month, resulting from the Good Stuff project's public consultation earlier in the year. Every other Monday it provides an opportunity to come together and socialise in a warm, friendly, low-pressure environment.

The new Opportunities Hub at the Balsam Centre offers free support to find work
SSDC has opened three dedicated employment and skills hubs that offer free tailored support to all South Somerset residents aged 16+. Known as ‘Opportunities Hubs’ they are based in Chard and Yeovil Libraries and Wincanton’s Balsam Centre.
