On Sunday 14th November, a parade, starting from the Memorial Hall and led by the Wincanton Silver Band, will walk down the High Street to the Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul, followed by a one-hour Service of Remembrance.

Wincanton marks the 75th anniversary of the crash of Old Faithful
A large number of townspeople turned out in Wincanton on 23rd June to mark the 75th anniversary of the crash of the American Flying Fortress bomber, Old Faithful, nearby. The sacrifices made that day have been remembered every year since a memorial was erected in 1954.

Wincanton Royal British Legion will be honouring the sacrifice made by the crew of “Old Faithful” with a Service of Commemoration on Sunday 23rd June at 3pm (assembly 2:45pm) at the War Memorial in the grounds of the Memorial Hall.
