The 68th Bruton Art Society Annual Exhibition is on this week
The 68th Bruton Art Society Annual Exhibition is on this week from the 21st to 28th August 2021 in the Memorial Hall of King’s School, Bruton. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
Bigger than ever before, the Society has attracted more entrants than ever before with paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures of the highest standard in a wide variety of styles. With 320 works this is an exciting show of arresting, high quality art offered at affordable prices by a wide range of professional and gifted amateur artists.
The Joy Barnes Award for the best work on show went to Camilla Frederick for her portrait of the war photographer Don McCullin.
Wincanton’s John Baxter had this portrait and landscape of South Cadbury Hill included. If you can’t get to see the exhibition it can all be accessed online by going to the Bruton Art Society website.
