Local schoolchildren were given a day to remember at Wincanton Racecourse on Wednesday, January 26th, when they were treated to a masterclass by the legendary racehorse trainer David Elsworth.

They'll be celebrating at Wincanton Sports Ground this Saturday, in memory of ex-Chairman John Bastable. Join them for a BBQ, and bring friends and kids for a family social. There'll even be some rugby tots action.

Wincanton Sports Ground is hosting a free outdoor screening of the children's classic The Jungle Book on Saturday 21st August Friday 3rd September. This is a free family-friendly event, but to keep track of numbers entry will be by ticket only.
Wincanton Racecourse raises £1,250 for Community Hospital
Wincanton Racecourse’s General Manager, Jack Parkinson, has praised the local community for its “fantastic response” to a charity event organised by the track which has helped raise £1,250 for the Wincanton Community Hospital.

Wincanton Rugby Club update September 2020
After 10 years, the Club has returned to the Sports Ground at Moor Lane. Post-COVID, the Club welcomes new players but also needs financial support. They've set up a crowdfund to help with new equipment and maintenance.

Wincanton will play its first home game of the new season tomorrow, after a crazy wait since March for competitive football. There has been quite a lot going on over the summer, including some new additions to the squad, but the team needs local support now more than ever.

Racing returns to Wincanton Racecourse this Wednesday 9th October; a week earlier than initially planned. Entry is just £10 per person to this additional meeting which was originally allocated to Towcester.
