'A Cake for the Gestapo' - an evening of immersive entertainment in support of Wincanton Choral Society
It's an evening's entertainment being given in aid of Wincanton Choral Society by one of our members, Jacky King, based on her recently published book, ‘A Cake for the Gestapo’, which is an adventure set in wartime Jersey from where her family hails.
On Friday 25th March at 7pm in Wincanton's Memorial Hall, Jacky intends it to be an immersive experience evoking life on the island under occupation, with food and drink, live music, song and dance and other fun, as well as readings from the book and contemporary sources such as newspapers and diaries, with audiovisual support.
The adventure story plot is about a band of young people ranging in age from 8 to 16 and the evening will cater for that age group, as well as adults, so please encourage children and grandchilden to come along!
