A Night at the Proms - Friday 9th November 2012
Wincanton Silver Band and Wincanton Royal British Legion present A Night at the Proms on Friday 9th November 2012. The award winning Wincanton Silver Band is holding a benefit concert in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their flags to wave as the atmosphere promises to be reminiscent of the famous Last Night at the Proms, and is complete with all the favourites too.
The programme, which includes Fantasia of British Sea Songs, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory has all the makings of a special night to remember. The concert starts at 7.30 pm in the Memorial Hall and tickets costs £7.50 each. There is a licensed bar.
