The Barrel of Laughs Comedy Club Celebrates its 1st Birthday!

The Barrel of Laughs Comedy Club has just celebrated its first year here at The Nog and we would love to extend our thanks to everyone who has supported us!

We had a couple of shaky moments at the beginning when we weren't sure whether to continue with it or not, but events like this take time to establish and that is just what has happened.

At the beginning of the year we also changed the format slightly, so now you can expect to see one superb compere introducing us to eight or nine brilliant up and coming acts on the circuit. This has resulted in a reduction in costs for us, which we have been able to pass on to everyone else. So it now only costs a fiver for over 2 ½ hours of live comedy!

The date and details of the compere and acts can be found on our website right here, but the best way to remember it is just that it's always held on the first Thursday of every month at 8.00pm.

Tickets are available in advance from the bar or on the door on the night and cost £5.00 each. We do recommend buying them in advance if you can though as we've recently had a couple of sell out gigs!

The next one is on Thursday 2nd May and we are looking forward to meeting our compere Danny Ward, who will be introducing us to Nigel Lovell, Oli Bettesworth, Gary Tro, Chris Battle, Vanessa Pouso, Paul Cook, Colin Harris and Lea Rose Emery.
