Bruton Choral Society concert: Jubilate!
Summer’s finally on the way! Come and celebrate at our Jubilate concert on 20th May at 7:30pm in the Memorial Hall at King’s School, Bruton.
The centrepiece and title of the concert is Bob Chilcott’s wonderful and uplifting piece for soprano, choir, brass and piano. We’ll also be performing some exciting music from the Venetian Renaissance, Monteverdi and Gabrieli, as well as some lively contemporary pieces for brass and choir. We are always trying to extend our repertoire into different areas; this concert for choir and brass is a new departure for us and should bring a fresh energy in tune with the new season!
Our guests for the evening will be The Sir Godfrey Kneller Brass Ensemble directed by David Bertie, as well as our favourite Hungarian soprano Maria Marton.
Get your tickets now - our regular supporters will know that this is a summer calendar date not to be missed: inspirational live music and alfresco Pimms – what better way to celebrate the arrival of summer!
Tickets £12 including a glass of Pimms (accompanied children free) will be on sale at Bruton Pharmacy, Church Bridge Stores or from Marian Kelham on 01749 812281.
