Wincanton Camera Club Reveals Voters' Winning Photo from Exhibition
Visitors to Wincanton Library during August were asked to vote for their favourite from all the photographs displayed during Wincanton Camera Club’s annual exhibition.
The exhibition, which attracted a lot of local interest, showcased the best work members produced in the past 12 months. 110 votes were cast, of which a sweeping majority of 17 votes, were for Amanda White’s image Meltdown – a collage depicting the gradual melting of a snowman.
Amanda, who now lives in Nova Scotia, remains an overseas member of the Club following her emigration to Canada some years ago. She said:
“I am quite surprised and overwhelmed. I was fortunate to do well last season in Wincanton competitions and in Canada, where I’m a member of the Sackville Photographic Club.”
