Fiona CampbellCarymoor Environmental Centre near Castle Cary is hosting an exciting intergenerational sculpture project, led by Somerset artist Fiona Campbell (www.fionacampbellart.co.uk). We are inviting anyone between the ages of 12-25 and those over 50 to volunteer their time and participate free of charge in either of two workshops.

This Company of Voices project will bring together older and younger people, together with artist Fiona Campbell, to create an exciting art work inspired by Carymoor. Dung Beetle sculptureIt's a chance to learn new creative skills and contribute towards a permanent art work created from recycled materials. The first session, on Thursday 29th July is to develop ideas and try them out, then on Thursday 12th August and Friday 13th August we will be holding the two main sessions. You can come along on either day to try out small pieces yourself and work towards making a larger installation as a group.

Dragonfly SculptureFinally on Thurs 26th - Friday 27th August a smaller group of people who took part in the August workshops will work with the artist to pull the artwork together and get it ready to display at Carymoor's open day on Saturday 25th September during the Somerset Art Weeks.

Numbers are limited so please book your place. If you are aged 12 - 25 or are 50 or older and would like to take part in this fun project we'd love to hear from you.
