"Dance in the Moonlight" with Toploader at PawFest 2012
After such wonderful feedback was received from the first ever 'PawFest' Music Festival held in September of last year, we are doing it again!
PawFest 2012 will take place on Saturday 9th June 2012 in the superb surroundings of Somerset and Dorset Animal Rescue, Common Road, Wincanton.
The gate opens at 12.00pm, featuring an all day, very diverse line up headlined by Toploader.
There is a fully stocked bar which features scrummy 'Black Rat Cider', a gorgeous Honeybuns Tea Tent, Chill Out area and yummy hot and cold food. New for 2012 is our Kids Activity tent, where the children will be able to keep busy with a little art and craft after having their face painted or hair braided.
Last year PawFest was quoted to me as being 'the best thing that has ever happened in Wincanton'!
It's relaxed, safe, family-friendly and most importantly held in aid of Somerset and Dorset Animal Rescue.
Come and see what all the fuss is about and if you have never been to a Music Festival make this your first.
So please join us on 9th June. 'Dance in the Moonlight' to support the rescue centre and also create some of that good old community spirit that the town lacks.
The Ticket Hotline is open now at 07501 795225, priced at £16.00. Under 12's are free (but still require a ticket). Tickets are also on sale at Totally Floored in Wincanton and various other local outlets, or you can buy online at Pawfest's website.
The work of the Stewarts and their few volunteers is both tireless and endless. The rescue centre, as with many others in the country is stretched to its limit. Just the other evening, very late, Liz returned home from a day's work to find a dog abandoned, tied to the gate shivering. How could someone do this?
