Extended & Refurbished Lidl is Open for Business
When Wincanton’s Lidl closed for extension and refurbishment back in September it was all just a set of plans on paper. Now the work has been completed, the doors are again open for business, and you can see for yourself what the paper plans were all about.
On arrival you’ll find extra good-sized parking spaces, a new under-cover trolley park, disabled/family parking, and a new spacious entrance. Inside, the full magnitude of the work becomes apparent. As you enter the store your senses are drawn to the comforting aroma of the enlarged bakery. Beyond the bakery the retail floor space (nearly doubled in size) is crammed with an equally increased range of products. Lidl Wincanton has clearly stepped up a gear.
Agnieska Tomasiak, the store manager, and colleague Chris Dyde agree that the work has made a significant difference to the store, creating a more spacious retail area and a better work environment. Agnieska says that they have been very busy since they re-opened on 6th of November.
Customers agree that the store now has a very spacious and airy feeling about it, and that the greatly increased product range is very welcome. One customer said:
“I used to split my shopping between Morrison’s and Lidl because Lidl didn’t carry all the items I wanted. Now it looks like I can do a complete week’s shopping in Lidl.”
