Free Business Start-Up Awareness Session Coming to Wincanton

In conjunction with Somerset Business Agency, South Somerset District Council is hosting a free business start-up awareness session in Wincanton on Wednesday 22nd July, at the SSDC offices, Churchfields, BA9 9AG.

The free session may be for you if you are thinking of starting a business and need some help and advice. It will include the very basics about choosing the right legal status, regulations and licensing requirements, costs of starting up, business planning, cash flow, tax, National Insurance and VAT.

Finding customers and knowing your market is really important for any new business so some of the morning will also be spent introducing sales and marketing. This will include a simple overview of market research, competition, advertising/promotion, choosing a name and customer care.
