Hidden Treasures Indoor Markets
My idea for Hidden Treasures came about after I attended a few baby and toddler sales as a seller, and thought it would be handy to have a regular event in Wincanton, whatever the weather, not limited to baby items, open to anyone, with plenty of variety.
The Wincanton Memorial Hall is definitely the best venue as it’s nice and spacious, plus they have been amazingly accommodating and helpful!
Hidden Treasures has become a family event; my mum Linda comes along as a seller and to help out, my other half, Jake, has helped out with refreshments and will be decorating Santa’s Grotto, my father in law organised the printing of the flyers and banner, and my mother-in-law as well as the rest of us keeps an eye on my two-year-old!
Each market will have a charity fundraising element to it; in August, Jake sold refreshments to raise money for The Outward Bound, for whom he ran in the London Marathon. In October I invited L & A Dog Rescue in Gillingham to sell donated items to raise funds for vets fees. For the Christmas Markets I will donate money from the adult raffle to Cancer Research.
Hidden Treasures Christmas Market takes place on Sunday 20th December between 12.00pm and 3.00pm. There will be over 20 different choices of stalls to browse through, ranging from pre-loved, crafts, vintage, shabby chic, jewellery, cards, stocking fillers, make up, books and candles, plus an adult’s and children’s raffle. And face painting, for both! We also have Pigalicious, a hot food stall with a 5 star food standards rating. And of course Father Christmas will be in his magical Grotto giving out presents.
Traders wanting to book a stall can either contact me via or through my Hidden Treasures Facebook page.
I’m hoping that Hidden Treasures Indoor Markets will continue to be somewhere people can come for a bit of fun shopping and grab a bite to eat throughout 2016.
