Midweek Mingle - Networking for Professional Women

As a self employed woman I visit several networking events a month, some I pay a small fortune for and others I travel several miles to attend. So, after speaking with other local ladies who network and finding that they felt the same, it was decided that Wincanton needs a low cost, effective and local group for professional women to network properly.

Anybody can network; it's not exclusive to corporate blue chip businesses or high flying executives. In fact networking is highly suited to sole traders and SME's as well because the point of networking is to build trust and relationships with potential clients, suppliers and service providers, gain valuable referrals, share knowledge skills and experiences all with a view to helping your business grow and succeed.

Midweek Mingle is going to be an informal event and welcomes women who work in all areas from Holistic Therapies to Finance and everything in between. There are no 'one profession per meeting' rules. It's cost effective because businesses have enough expenses to worry about. It's local to you. And it's an opportunity for you to have a bit of fun.

We will be having our first meeting in the newly refurbished Red Lion Cafe Bar in Wincanton at 7.30pm on Wednesday 13th April. Entry is £5 excluding drinks. The evening will start with a (short) talk about how to get the best out of networking, followed by an ice breaking session then you will be free to 'mingle' for the remainder of the evening. Great idea Diane. I believe that there are many women out there just waiting to discover that hidden potential that most of them have. I hope that you will also want to work with WBT to help us encourage the business community as a whole.
