Mustang Sally and More at Pen Selwood’s Summer Fete
Pen Selwood celebrates 61 years of our traditional Village Fete on Saturday 1st August. Held in the centre of the village between the Community Field, Village Hall and St Michael’s Church, the three beneficiaries of all profits.
Back by popular demand, Organic Rhythmic Drumming is suitable for all ages and starts at 1.00 pm. New for 2015, free entertainment will be provided by local band “Mustang Sally”, their sets alternating with the drumming workshops. The Barbecue fires up at Noon. Wash down a delicious lunch with something from the Beer Tent; local guest ales and draught cider feature.
Everyone’s favourite stalls will be there including Books (plenty of great reads for bored teenagers due to a large donation from the local school library), Bottle Tombola, Plants & Produce, Cakes, Coconuts, Grand Draw, Teas, Welly Throwing & Pre-loved Clothing.
Pen’s amazing White Elephant stalls, (glassware, kitchenware, soft furnishings, bric-a-brac, small furniture, gardening tools etc) have received record donations this year as several households are on the move. Come early to grab the best bargains! The colourful Annual Flower & Produce Show will be on display in the Church and provides something for everyone to look at and enjoy.
Start time at 12.00 noon until 5.00pm. Grand Draw approx 4.15pm. Free entry, parking by donation. Please note no dogs on field.
Proceeds to be divided between St Michael’s Church, Village Hall and Community Field.
