New trading barn at Kimbers’ Farm Shop
The Kimber family is opening a new trading area in the Dutch barn next to their popular farm shop, on the B3081 Wincanton to Bruton road.
The Somerset Trading Barn will be officially opened on Sunday 30th July by local journalist and food writer Fanny Charles, at around 2:30pm.
The ground floor of the barn has 13 selected traders selling antiques, vintage fabrics, up-cycled pieces, decorations and accessories, French linens and more.
On the floor above, reached via a unique wooden staircase, is an area that will be available for functions, art and photographic exhibitions, classes and possibly music or theatre events. Naomi Kimber will be pleased to hear your ideas!
The barn will be open on Sunday 30th July from 2pm till 4pm, and regular hours will be Tuesday to Sunday from 10am till 4pm.
Fanny Charles has lived in Wincanton for more than 25 years. She is the co-editor of the Fine Times Recorder website for the arts, food and travel, former editor of the Blackmore Vale Magazine, and co-author with Gay Pirrie-Weir of the book Deepest Dorset (published in 2016). Fanny and Gay also run Screen Bites Food Film Festival, in which Kimbers Farmshop has regularly taken part.
