Parish Church: Jubilee Celebrations to Help Raise the Roof!

Wincanton Parish Church will be hosting several fundraising events during the Jubilee period, in support of the Roof Aid appeal and annual revenue requirement.

A Flower Festival based on the theme of Majesty will commence on Thursday May 31st and end on Sunday 3rd June. Various groups within our community will take part to provide many beautiful arrangements and displays. The church will be open from 10.30am – 5.30pm daily during the festival. A small admission charge will be made, Adults £2, Children under 16 yrs 50p. Refreshments will be available.

A Church Path Fete will take place during the afternoon on Saturday 2nd June starting at 12.00pm - 4.30pm. Admission is free. Many stalls including Cake, Bottle, Books and Jumble will be present, and various skill games will add to the entertainment. This will be an ideal opportunity to visit both events and at the same time enjoy refreshment that will be available, perhaps a cream tea!

During the evening on Saturday 2nd June a Jubilation Concert will be performed by the Pilgrim Singers, commencing at 7.00pm in the Parish Church. Tickets are available, adults £8 .00, children under 16 free. For tickets please Tel: 01963 824503 (parish office) or contact the Church Wardens.

This programme of events will provide a platform to enjoy the Jubilee period with your friends and perhaps to make new ones. So why not choose your event or perhaps come to them all, where a warm welcome will await you.
