Bruton Art Society Annual Exhibition 2010

This is the 57th Annual Art Exhibition of the Society and it will be held this year at Bruton School for Girls, Sunny Hill, Bruton.
Over 200 paintings and sculptures by members of the Society will be on show and many will be for sale. The Exhibition Hall is open daily from 11am till 5pm from Saturday 21st August until 3pm on Sunday 29th August.
This popular exhibition will this year include a retrospective display of paintings by Chairman Joy Barnes who is 98 years old this year, and Sophie George of Bruton School for Girls, who has been awarded this year's Bruton Art Society Student Art Prize.
The Society membership is open to both amateur and professional artists. It runs a full and interesting programme with events held throughout the year, including: Lectures and talks by specialist speakers, coach trips to exhibitions and art galleries, painting days, art workshops and demonstrations by tutors and painters.
