Silent art auction by local artist Diane Coe in support of Stoke Trister Church
Fancy owning an original piece of art, from a local reputable artist, at an affordable price? St Andrews Church in Stoke Trister is holding a silent auction of art kindly donated by local artist Diane Coe.
Diane, an established artist living in Charlton Musgrove, has donated a number of original works from her private collection to be auctioned for the benefit of the Church.
Diane’s finest moment came when the Hellenic Centre in Marylebone, London invited her to have a free, month-long, solo exhibition in their large hall. This required a minimum of 80 framed works, which included some of her pyrography and fretwork pieces. Diane has exhibited her work over many years in Sherborne, at the Bath & West Show, with Bruton Art Society, at several local exhibitions and at Yeovil Hospital.
Colour has influenced Diane’s whole life, having lived her first 21 years in Cyprus. Movement, dance in particular, ruled many of her earlier years. Both colour and movement are excellently portrayed within Diane’s private auction.
There will be a viewing at Bayford Village Hall on Saturday May 4th, 5pm to 9pm. There will be wine and nibbles available and Diane will be on hand to answer any questions. Silent bidding is now open until 9pm on May 4th.
