Charity Classic Car Show Raises £1,000 for Air Ambulance

SK8PIPEDREAM's Classic and Vintage Car Show at Ven House in Milborne Port on 1st July 2012 was attended by over 400 people. There were over 40 classic and vintage cars and these were really stunning, set in such a magnificent setting.

The weather was kind on the day and although it had been pouring down in the morning, the afternoon was sunny and warm. The Morris Men were a huge success, as always; they are always fun to watch and people of all ages were happy watching them.

We were lucky enough to have cream teas served as well as wild boar burgers and bacon sandwiches by Edward and Zelda from Great Tastes. This year we also had an old fashioned sweet stall in attendance called Sweetland - this proved to be a real hit with all ages. There was a queue at the stall most of the time, including a celebrity guest as well. Jasper had very kindly donated two of his Country books written by himself and these were put into our raffle. Jasper had even autographed them (everyone wanted to win them including me).

I received lots of comments about how enjoyable and laid-back the event was. Everyone was walking round with a smile on their face and really enjoyed the event and cars. The exhibitors that came on the day enjoyed it and have asked what the date will be next year as they want to book the date in their diaries.

We managed to raise £1,000 for the Air Ambulance. Everyone involved was really happy with the amount.

SK8PIPDREAM would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved on the day, all the volunteers behind the scenes and all the exhibitors that kindly brought their magnificent cars for others to enjoy. On the whole a great day was had by all.
