Spectra Musica in Concert, Wincanton on 5th April 2014
Spectra Musica is back in concert on Saturday 5th April at St Luke and St Teresa's Church at 7.30pm. The two major pieces they will be performing will be Faure's Requiem and West Side Story Medley but there will also be performances of many other pieces including works by Palestrina, Finzi, Chilcott, Elgar and Bernstein.
Simon Twiselton will be conducting, with Anita D'Attellis accompanying and the choir will be joined by soloists Sally Greenhalgh, soprano and Tom Hunt, baritone.
Spectra Musica came together at the beginning of 2006 and, over the years, it has steadily grown and developed a wide repertoire. The choir is building a reputation for the refreshing diversity of its programmes and the quality of its performances as shown by the enthusiastic reception of its audiences.
In addition to the three concerts presented each year, the choir has also enjoyed performing at charity and private events and recently hosted another successful "Come and Sing" day. The choir is delighted to be back in St Luke and St Teresa's church.
Tickets are £10.00 which includes refreshments during the interval. Tickets can be bought via the website www.spectramusica.co.uk or on the door.
