Spooky Fireworks & Bonfire at Wincanton Sports Ground
Wincanton Sports Ground has been host to an annual fireworks event over the last few years. This year we have combined both Halloween and Bonfire Night to create a Spooky Fireworks and Bonfire night on Saturday 2nd November 2019 from 5:30pm.
It's a free family event, but donations are welcome and there will be a £1 parking fee. We want to bring the local community together and finish the evening with a snap, crackle and a BANG!
The Wincanton Silver Band will be playing from 6pm to kickstart the evening. The fireworks will start any time from 6:45pm, weather dependent, shortly after the lighting of the bonfire.
Domenicos Pizza will be attending with a range of delicious options, and we will also have on sale hot dogs, sweets, candy floss, ice cream, milkshakes and maybe even a few toffee apples. The bar will be open for both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, including hot drinks. Spooky fancy dress is welcome, along with entries for Best Pumpkin and Guy competitions.
Profits will go to the Youth Section of the football club, from which most of the volunteers on the night will come. We would welcome any sponsors that are able to support this open community event.
