The Grand Purky Tea Party!
The first Purky Party was a phenomenal success. Local entertainers and skilled craftsmen came together at the Cat Café to create a unique mini festival.
Captain Purky is back again this Sunday, 26th August 2012, with more local talent and a rather special tea-party theme!
"Purky Parties come from my ambition to create a sustainable artistic community in Wincanton. There are so many talented people in this area and we should be coming together to show the world what we can do."
A special blend of free entertainment, beautiful arts and crafts and a fabulous venue. A few lovely people even blogged about the time they spent with us! Look at this post from Serenity Potions, or this one from Mrs Super Vixie Asbo.
This time we have the delights of a poetrix, a close-up magician, a free-styling acoustic singer, fabulous knits, gorgeous aromatherapy scents, a tarot reader, astonishing head-dresses and of course Purky Products.
- The Cat Café is offering their usual hot food menu alongside tea party specials.
- Rounds of dainty sandwiches fit for high tea!
- Egg and cress, beef and horseradish, cucumber, salmon terrine and salad, on white and brown bread.
- Delicious cream tea with home made scones and lashings of delightful cakes!
Of course not forgetting the Pimms!
So pop in on Sunday 26th August 2012 for a bite to eat, enjoy some free entertainment and look at beautiful unique craft goods.
