The Magnificent Maker's Market!

First, I feel we should state what a Magnificent Maker's Market (or MMM to those in the know) actually is. A brave mission to seek out talented folks and give them opportunities to share their unique wares and abilities. To create unique trading spaces that are pleasurable places to shop and socialise. Also to pull people together from the local community and beyond.

I genuinely believe that small independent companies are the future of our economy. Our heavy and large scale industry has been massively diminished and so I seek to generate opportunities for the cottage industry. Handcrafted local goods; talented performers; skilled trades-people; amazing small venues.

On Sunday 2nd December the first Magnificent Maker's Market is launching in Wincanton at the Balsam Centre. We are open from 10.00am until Teatime (around 5.00pm in the evening). We have beautiful knitted goods from The Slipped Stitch, a selection of fabulous jewellery designers, Reiki and spiritual goods from Danni Wood and of course Purky Products will be in fine form. We are also running a café with cake from The Cat Café and coffee from Divine Wines.

The Market will take a brief break for January and then return in February and every month after. We hope that it will grow and become a must-see event for the town and serve our community and bring in new folks to enjoy what Wincanton has to offer.

Please come along and say hello and see the amazing things made by people in your area. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Captain Purky is always looking for new people to join his crew so please get in touch on 07950 575224 or .

The Magnificent Maker's Market is owned and operated by Harry John Pursey (Captain Purky - Purky Products - Purky Productions).

Loved working with Harry to design his logos and flyers. 'Mad as a hatter and twice as nice'.
Good luck with your ventures 'H', and hang in there with the makers market, I may join you there soon.
