UPDATE 09/09/13: We're pleased to report that Paul has had a good response to this appeal to find a new instructor. Please use the contact details below if you want information about joining Tai Chi for Health classes.

People doing Tai Chi for Health

Tai Chi for Health is looking to train a volunteer for a Wincanton Tai Chi class. The training is free (worth about £1000). The charity currently has over 30 volunteer instructors and teaches around 400 people.

Ideally we would like someone with experience of Tai Chi, Exercise, Yoga or amateur dramatics (spacial awareness). In return for the training the volunteer would have to agree to teach a class one hour a week.

We teach a form of Tai Chi called Shibashi (means 18 in Chinese). The Shibashi is an easy exercise but the effect is amazing. The exercise has been proven to reduce blood pressure, improve balance, relaxes, improves wellbeing and despite the slow movements the exercise is the equivalent of fast walking.

Being a volunteer and seeing others benefit is hugely rewarding, but you'll also benefit from the exercise yourself. The classes are also very sociable. So how about it? Fancy something different? If so, either phone Paul on 01749 346774 or email: . There is also a web site: www.taichiforhealth.org.uk.
