Vintage Furniture, Gifts & Homewares at The Occasional Chair
[UPDATE:] Tania at The Occasional Chair regrets to inform that she will no longer be trading out of "A Family Thing" in Wincanton High Street. Talitha's Cakes will continue on in the store and is well worth a visit.
Tania hopes to continue the business, selling at local markets and fairs, and you can still visit the website to get the latest details and ideas: www.the-occasional-chair.co.uk.
Upcycled, recycled and vintage; those are our passions at The Occasional Chair, a fledgling new business in Wincanton High Street, where you can buy anything from furniture and home-wares to soft furnishings and gifts.
The Occasional Chair now has a small shop under the roof of A Family Thing at 59 High Street, Wincanton, which also features Talitha's Cakes and Dale's Dressmaking. This is a fledgling business that we hope to expand over the next few years, when we all hope to be established in our own premises.
We are proud to be in Wincanton, an historic market town with much to attract shoppers and day trippers, a town in the middle of regeneration and it is exciting to be a part of that.
Our current stock includes recycled button pictures, painted and waxed vintage furniture, lots of cushions made from vintage fabrics and fabric remnants, and vintage and pre-loved crockery and glass ware.
The Occasional Chair endeavours to source eco-friendly, fair trade and recycled craft products for customers who like to make and mend; we have recycled and eco-friendly yarns, and pre-loved buttons, with lots more on the way, and a range of new and second-hand craft books full of inspiration.
Check out our website www.the-occasional-chair.co.uk for more information.
