"Les Miserables" showing at Wincanton Film Society

Wincanton Film Society starts 2014 with a screening of one of the most popular musicals of modern times on Tuesday 21st January. You may be one of the millions who have seen the stage musical in all its glory. Now you have the chance to experience Les Miserables on the BIG SCREEN in Wincanton.

Most will have seen Hugh Jackman in X-Men. You will have seen Russell Crow in Gladiator, or Master & Commander. Anne Hathaway played Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries. She also starred in such films as Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada and in Becoming Jane.

It's one thing to be a serious stage or screen actor, but it's a whole new ball game to star in a serious musical. Do these mammoth actors have the ability to woo film-goers with decent singing voices?
