Wincanton Post Office Wins Greetings Card Retailer Award
In previous articles we congratulated the Wincanton Post Office on their refurbishment and upgrade to Main Post Office status. We also reported that they were voted into the finals of the National RETAS Awards for "The Best Non-Specialist Independent Retailer of Greeting Cards". Only last week we published an article about their fuse box catching fire. Now we are back to the RETAS awards, because...
They WON!
Many congratulations to the McCormack family. Our own Wincanton Post Office is now officially the Best Non-Specialist Independent Greeting Card Retailer in the south of the UK.
By reaching the finals of this prestigious award they were invited to attend the glittering awards ceremony held at the iconic Dorchester Hotel in London on 9th July. The whole evening took on a Vintage Travel theme and was hosted by celebrity and comedian Rob Deering. Many congratulations to our very own worthy winners.
The Retas awards were launched in 2005 by progressive Greetings Worldwide Magazine, to recognise excellence across the whole field of greeting cards retailers. They were pitted against tough opposition, but they were chosen by a nationwide nomination process that was started earlier in the year with 2000 Retas nomination forms being distributed to UK greeting card publishers who then nominated the retailers that they felt to be worthy of such honour in each category.
