Wincanton Youth Theatre performed at Hauser and Wirth Summer Party
The Wincanton Youth Theatre were delighted to be asked to perform again at the annual Hauser and Wirth Summer Party in Bruton in July. The festival had a circus theme, with a host of circus-inspired performances, family activities, vintage fairground rides, arts and crafts workshops, children's theatre, and local food and drink stalls. As part of a fabulous line-up of musical performers, the group opened the event in the shade of a circus Big Top tent.
"I am constantly amazed by the talent of our group. These youngsters only just finished a WW1 commemorative show and, two weeks later, are performing an entirely new set in completely different surroundings, and with great commitment. Not only that, in the intervening weekend, they all auditioned for our Christmas show, Oliver!"
- Andrew Warren, Theatre producer
The event was attended by over 5,000 visitors across the weekend, and raised a total of £7,000 for education and nature conservation charity Carymoor Environmental Trust. The Wincanton Youth Theatre are happy to have played their part in raising these funds for such a worthwhile local charity.
