Another Successful Annual Lunch Date for Twinning Association

Once again it is the time of year when the WLTA (Wincanton Lahnau Twinning Association) get together for their annual lunch. This year a record 29 people attended at the David Sharp Centre. Each year, at the beginning of February, it's a time for us to come together and start off a new year of twinning social and fundraising events. We are an active group.

The lunch (a hot meal) was prepared by committee members of the association lead by Elaine Rodgers. We all had parts of the meal to prepare and bring along which is shared by all. A small charge is made to every person present for the meal.

It is a good social occasion; we hold a raffle to raise funds for the year and all prizes are donated so a 100% profit was made. The event was enjoyed by all there and we look forward to next year's lunch.

We have other events organised for the coming year, the next being an Interactive Quiz and Pizza Night on Friday 11th April, 7.30pm at the David Sharp Centre. Posters and information will follow shortly.
