On March 23rd, the Town Hall went live with the third of Wincanton's offers of support. The Town Council food parcels offer was developed to provide for those who, due to unforeseen circumstances, required a donation of food.

Practice makes perfect. Encouraged by the positive reaction to its first social distancing performance, which received over 6000 views on its Facebook page, Wincanton Silver Band has produced another social distancing video.

The Wincanton Live at Home scheme began in 1997 and now supports around 170 local residents with an average age of 88, providing an invaluable safety net for the vulnerable during lockdown, with unstinting support from about 40 volunteers.
Waterworks will block Wincanton High Street for 3 days from 1st June
There will be a road closure on Wincanton High Street blocking all traffic for three days from 1st June to allow Wessex Water to repair a mains leak.

Wincanton Flower Show 2020 is cancelled
Under the present conditions, the Wincanton and District Gardeners Association has made the decision to cancel this year's Flower Show, and encourage participants to return to support the show in 2021.
