After many months of discussions and planning by the Town Team, the BIG CLEAN weekend has finally arrived. Join the team on Saturday and Sunday, 10.00am - 4.00pm, and help clean up Wincanton! HQ will be the Memorial Hall.

The Revd. Canon Alan Watson and his wife Rosemary welcomed John Baxter and I when we turned up at their home to hand over a framed document giving them Life Membership of the Wincanton Museum and History Society.
The White Horse Has Closed – Owner Declared Bankrupt
The White Horse Hotel, a prominent business on Wincanton's High Street, has closed its doors without warning. On 9th April the owner of the business, Mr Paul Symes, was declared bankrupt in court in Yeovil.

From 10.00pm on Thursday 7th May right through until the afternoon of Friday, the counting of votes went on in Yeovil for our Town, District and Parliamentary candidates.

Car Blaze in Memorial Hall Car Park
At around 2.00am on the morning of Monday 4th May, a car parked in the far south east of the Memorial Car Park was set ablaze. Devon & Somerset Fire brigade believe that this was a deliberate act of arson.

On Saturday 25th April 2015 volunteers, including members of C.A.T.C.H. working with the Recreation Ground Working Group as well as other members of the public, worked tirelessly to prepare the soil and sow the seed for a new wild flower meadow near the play area.
