Arsenal FC Regional Development Centre Kicks Off in Wincanton

Friday 2nd November was a landmark day in the life of Wincanton Sports Ground. Arsenal F.C started a relationship with the users of the Maddocks pavilion that we believe will go from strength to strength.

Football coaching for boys and girls from 5 to 12 years was the theme for the day and at the special price of just £2.50 per person, the course was oversubscribed by 20, with the lucky 54 children having a day to remember.

The premier league club was so impressed with our facilities that they came to establish a "Regional Development Centre" at Wincanton Sports Ground, giving local youngsters the chance to be a part of the world's most famous football league.

Regular courses are now up and running and details are posted at the sports ground. We are delighted to join forces with arsenal F.C., and hope jointly to inspire local footballers to fulfil their sporting potential.
