Following wins against Cornwall, Gloucester and Devon, King Arthur's met Dorset in the finals. The match went down to the last point with Bournemouth Boy's School winning 21-19 in the fifth game. This meant the match finished 3-2 with the Dorset team progressing on to the National Finals in Nottingham.
Dave Dwyer, Deputy Head Teacher at King Arthur's praised the boys for their valiant efforts and thanked James Elkin the school's badminton coach for the past five years hard work with the boys.
At the same finals the Under 14 King Arthur's girl's team finished a creditable third, walking away with Bronze medals and a smile on their face, beating Wiltshire and Devon on the way.
