Ex-KA student, Dr Emily Colbeck presenting an awardIn late November all secondary schools receive details of the school’s performance in comparison with the rest of the country. Knowing just how important the work of the local secondary school is to the community, it is great to share that King Arthur’s is performing above the National and County Average for the progress that students have made during their time in the school across 8 GCSEs (the new measure for schools used by OFSTED).

Alongside this, the school’s value added measure for its most able and least able students is significantly above the National Average.

The school recently hosted its Key Stage 4 presentation evening and it was a pleasure to have ex-student Dr Emily Colbeck presenting awards. Emily recently received her Doctorate, having studied genetics at Cardiff University. Ex Head Boy Charlie Carswell also wowed the audience with his speech about his time at King Arthur’s.
