New Year, New Kits For Wincanton Town FC Youth
Wincanton Town FC (Youth Section) has started 2015 with five of our teams having new kits, which have been kindly donated by local businesses.
Our brand new team of Under 7s have been finding their football feet in a new kit sponsored by Rochford Garden Machinery.
They are managed by Martin Farrell, and we hope to soon start an Under 8’s side, so if you have any future Messi’s then please get in touch. They train on a Friday evening from 5.00pm – 6.00pm with the Winky Tots, with FA Trained Coach Leah Poole. The team plays in the Yeovil & District Mini Soccer Development League.
Our Under 10s are wearing a new kit kindly sponsored by B & J Haulage Services Ltd, and are managed/trained by Quinn Adlam. They train on a Wednesday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and play matches on a Saturday morning. They play in the Yeovil & District Mini Soccer Development League.
Our Under 11s play in the Yeovil District Mini Soccer League, and play matches on a Saturday morning. They train from 6.00pm to 7.00pm on a Friday evening. They are managed/trained by Richard Pratt, with the assistance of Richard’s son Marcus Pratt. Their new kit was kindly donated by 21 Property Management.
Another new kit has been kindly sponsored by S & D Property Building Services, and is being proudly worn by our Under 13s who play in the Yeovil & District Youth Football League. The team trains on a Wednesday evening from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and play matches on a Sunday morning. The team is trained and managed by Graham Riggs and Wayne Mitchell.
Our 5th New kit has also been sponsored by Rochford Garden Machinery, and was designed by the team itself.
Our Under 15s Girls team play in the Somerset Girls Football League, and can be seen here modelling their new kit at Rochford Garden Machinery with Manager/Coach Martin Farrell, assistant Jamie Mortley, and Kerry Rochford, Director of Rochford Garden Machinery, Wincanton.
The team trains on a Friday Evening from 7.00pm to 8.00pm and matches take place on a Saturday morning.
All our teams would like to say a big thank you to their sponsors, as without their kind generosity, we would not be able to provide so many local youngsters with great kits to play in.
Wincanton Town FC (Youth Section) presently has eight teams playing in three Somerset leagues, the teams are Under 7’s, Under 10’s, Under 11’s, Under 12’s. Under 13’s. Under 14’s, Under 15’s and Under 15 Girls. We are always looking to fill in the other age ranges.
If you have a son or daughter who would like to play for their local football club, or if you would like to get involved, coaching, fundraising, sponsorship, or just helping out, please get in touch.
