Beer and Cider Festival at The Nog Inn's Jubilee Celebration
Now nearing their fifth year at The Nog Inn, Will & Amy are making plans for their first Real Ale and Cider Festival over the Jubilee weekend. This coincides with them recently receiving the news that they have won the Heart of Wessex CAMRA Pub of the Year award for the second year in a row. Their pub will now be put through to the next round, competing with pubs from Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire to become Wessex Pub of the Year 2013.
The festival will kick off on Saturday 2nd June with ten real ales and ten farmhouse ciders for you to sample. We will be showcasing award winning beers from a variety of breweries from across the South West. Sunday 3rd June will also see live music from 3.00pm - headlining are local bands Full Tilt and May Contain Rock. Tuesday, 5th will be the final day of our Festival and it will also be "discount day" - the day in which we try and drink the pub dry!
In addition, on Tuesday 5th June at 7.30pm, the official CAMRA presentation will take place, where Will and Amy will receive the Heart of Wessex CAMRA Pub of the Year Award. We would love it if you could join us in our celebrations.
Throughout the festival we will be operating our usual delicious pub menu and this will be served all day (9.00pm every day, 10.00pm on Friday and Saturday).
We consider ourselves to be a very family and dog friendly pub, and as such all are very welcome to attend our first festival. Having small children of our own we like to ensure there is something to keep the kids entertained, so they will find a giant Connect 4 in the garden, as well as board games and bizzi bags inside. All we are hoping for now is sunshine so we can all make the most of the beer garden!
