Sport at Bruton School for Girls
With the ever growing success of women's football in the country, Bruton School for Girls has recently teamed up with Yeovil Town Football Club to deliver an exciting new initiative.
Coach Ollie Landers took on the challenge in a 10 week long programme designed to introduce girls to the basics. This course focuses on developing the girls' skills and enthusiasm alike. Twenty five Senior School girls excitedly took up the challenge to leave their hockey sticks behind and use their feet, without fear of being pulled up for a foul!
BSG has also recently introduced a new sports website – sport.brutonschool.co.uk
This website enables you to view team fixtures and sheets, match reports, current photos, map locations, directions and particular teams fixtures for the whole term (with calendar sync) at the push of a button and so much more!
Pip Davies, Director of Sport, said:
"The Sports department now has ability to easily update the sport related website content, which enables us to post the most up to date information from results to cancellations, team sheet changes to action photos as soon as they happen!
"The girls love reading their match report and seeing photos from the weekend matches. The feedback we have had has been extremely positive and has only served to move the department forward."
Bruton School for Girls is a day school for boys and girls aged 2 – 7 and a day and boarding school for girls aged 2 – 18.
The next Open Morning is on Monday 5th May 9.30am – 12.30pm.
