Spring Clean Wincanton!

The Wincanton Town Team has been established since 2011, when we applied to be Portas Pilots. Since then we were awarded Portas partner status, allowing us to follow up on some projects highlighted in our original submission.

We are now working on a fantastic project called 'Spring Clean Wincanton', similar to 'The Big Clean Up' in Liskeard you might have seen on TV a couple of years ago.

We are hoping to hold a two day clean-up operation in the town, and to involve as many people as possible, from local trades people, voluntary groups, residents, friends and those who just want to put some love and attention back to the High Street. We know many groups already who are doing a wonderful job to help the town and I wondered if we might be able to come together on these couple of days to help with the clean up.

Wouldn't it be lovely to involve the local schools, businesses and residents, all coming together for a couple of days with a common goal to help their town? We do intend to make this as fun as possible and we already have some catering and refreshments planned from the Town Team, we would also like a bit of music too to help motivate people!
