Wincanton Sports Ground Extravaganza 2014

Wincanton Sports Ground is excited to announce that we will be holding our annual Open Day on Saturday 14th June 2014 from 12.00pm onwards. At this year's event we have a range of activities that are perfect for a family afternoon out!

There will be many different activities on the day, such as tennis, arts and crafts stalls, a car boot sale, tennis and football with 'Arsenal Soccer School', 'Just for Keepers' and the 'Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust' joining us!

As well as being able to participate in many activities, there will also be a chance to watch some football matches as the Wincanton Town Youth Teams will be playing games against fellow teams and also the parents and coaches! The Youth Team will also celebrate the grand presentation of the defibrillator they have recently been raising money for. This is a fantastic achievement, and such an amazing piece of equipment that could save a life-so please come and show your support!

To celebrate their 125th anniversary Wincanton Town will be hosting a match that will see them take on the 'Wincanton ex and old boys. This match is for anybody who has ever played for Wincanton, so if you would like to take part please get in touch with the football club.

Finally to round off the night, the Sports Ground will be showing England's first world cup game of 2014 against Italy on their big screen projector with the bar remaining open.

Without the kind support of the community, and volunteers at the Sports Ground the place wouldn't exist today, so please come along on June 14th to continue to show your support to this fantastic facility! We look forward to seeing you there!
