Wincanton Town Youth FC
Representatives from the FA and the Football Foundation will support both Youth and Senior Football Clubs during the open day. WTYFC currently fields five boys' teams from U6 to U15, and one girls' team. The club has arranged for a climbing wall for those who dare to try, and the Wincanton Girl Guides will be serving strawberries and cream during the day. There is also an opportunity for the young players to get their own back on the team managers, who will take turns in "Stocks" and have wet sponges thrown at them.
Wincanton Town Senior FC
WTFC celebrates its 120th Year in 2011 and is currently running three Senior teams, and for the new season the club will be fielding a Ladies team for the first time, playing on Sunday afternoons in the Somerset League. On Sunday's Open Day WTFC will open proceedings with a Fancy Dress football match V the New Ladies Team, kicking off at 10.30 am.
Wincanton Bowls Club
The Wincanton Bowls Club will have experienced bowlers at the green throughout the day to provide the opportunity for anyone interested to try their hand at lawn bowls. It can be played by anyone from 9 to 90 - why not give it a try?
Wincanton Tennis Club
Wincanton Tennis Club will offer free adult, junior and minis play under the guidance of their LTA licensed coach, the club has also arranged for a fastest serve and ball machine for budding players to test their skills.
