Yarlington House Hosting Reception in aid of Harry's Hydro Appeal
On Saturday 9th November at 6pm, David Warburton is hosting a reception in aid of Harry's Hydro Appeal. The event will be held at Yarlington House, near Wincanton, by kind permission of Countess de Salis.
Founded by Paula Fox, Harry's Hydro is a purpose-built hydrotherapy pool in Frome for disabled people and those with profound sensory and learning difficulties. The Harry's Hydro Appeal was launched following the death of Paula's thirteen-month old son Harry who suffered severe brain damage as a result of an infection caught shortly after his birth. Harry's Hydro opened in 2012 and Dame Ellen MacArthur DBE is the charity's Patron.
David Warburton is a strong supporter of Harry's Hydro. In April this year, he brought Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt MP to visit Harry's Hydro to meet its founder Paula Fox, and in July David ran the Frome 10k in aid of Harry's Hydro Appeal.
"Harry's Hydro needs to raise thousands of pounds a year to pay its way," David explained. "Hydrotherapy can make a huge difference to people with all kinds of disabilities. In Somerset we are so lucky to have this amazing facility on our doorstep, and I am very grateful to everyone who can help in supporting such a worthwhile cause."
For tickets, at £10 per head, contact Jane Wilson on 01963 371377.
