There is going to be fun for all the family in Wincanton on Armed Forces Day, 29th June, when Wincanton Royal British Legion is hosting an event at the Millers Inn, Wincanton to commemorate the day.
There is fun for the children with a bouncy castle and face painting amongst the many attractions, and mums and dads can have a go at skittles and many other summer attractions.
From 11.00am until late evening lots will be happening with a marquee, many types of novelty stall, Wincanton Silver Band playing in the afternoon, singers performing, and a barbecue in the beer garden all day.
Navy personnel from the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton will be on hand demonstrating some of their skills and showing the equipment currently in use with the Commando Helicopter Force.
The day has no time limits, and at 9.00pm guitarist John Raymond will entertain with country classics, with an emphasis on the Eagles music. The event is free and visitors can make donations to Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal if they wish.
