• VJ Day 75th Anniversary Events - there will be many events taking place in the town.
• Armed Forces Day – photos and write up of the event, which took place on Saturday 27th June.
• VJ Day 70 years ago – RBL member Pat Bowler’s story as she recalls childhood memories of liberation from a Japanese prisoner of war camp.
• Coffee morning at the Memorial Hall on 15th August – this is cancelled as it conflicts with the VJ day commemoration.
• Annual Dinner at the Memorial Hall on 9th October.
