Waxwings in Yeovil - Stunning Shots by Stewart Canham

I took these outside Johnson Park Sports Ground in Yeovil. They are Waxwings which come to this country from Scandinavia each year, but very rarely come this far South. This year however there seems to be quite an influx of them, including sightings in Poole and Swindon. They are feeding on Rowan berries.

I played every week in the Baptist music group. But about seven years ago my dad had a stroke and I ended up communting to Halifax hospital initially, and then to dad's home hospital (Wishaw) in Scotland. So I stood down from the group. I hasten to say that dad is still with us and doing ok in his own home in Scotland. However, for some strange reason I haven't felt the urge or the need to play guitar since that time. I don't understand why. I just don't pick it up. I'll leave that to the younger folks now.
