Wonderful Wincanton Wildlife
I’ve always enjoyed watching wildlife and although not very good, I’ve always enjoyed photography. I decided a couple of years ago to combine the two and simply record what passed through my garden here in Wincanton.
I must confess that I’ve missed some wonderful opportunities to photograph some great sights: a family of five foxes, playing beyond the hedge just as the sun was setting, was great to watch but they were just a bit too far away for me to capture on my basic camera. The Sparrowhawk doesn’t quite trust me enough yet and won’t stay still long enough for me to fumble off a shot or two but hopefully, in time, I will be rewarded.
I have shared some of my shots in this article but have intentionally not identified the creatures. I will confess that there are a couple of creatures that I’m not exactly sure I can identify, but I have set the challenge to those that view the Wincanton Window to identify in the comments below.
Hope you enjoy the photos as much I did when I captured them.
